This course will prepare you for three CompTIA IT certifications that are ideal for entry-level and mid-level professionals: A+, Network+ and Security+. The CompTIA certifications are the most-recognized, vendor-neutral credentials in the industry, and will assure employers that you have the skills they need.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be prepared to sit for the following exams: CompTIA A+ Exams 220-1001 and 220-1002, CompTIA Network+ Exam N10-007, and CompTIA Security+ Exam SY0-601. This course offers enrollment with or without vouchers. The vouchers are prepaid access to sit for the certifying exams upon eligibility. *Note: Students enrolling in the course will need to sit for N10-007 by June 2022 due to the exam retirement.

At the end of this CompTIA training, you'll also be proficient in basic cyber security concepts such as attacks and mitigation, security applications, risk assessment, disaster recovery and incident response, cloud computing, mobile devices, BYOD and SCADA, in addition to vulnerability assessment.

Hardware Requirements:

  • This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac. Mac users are encouraged to have access to a Windows environment on their device. The Online Lab System is compatible with PC and Mac computers as well. You will be provided detailed instructions for setting-up a home virtual lab system.

Software Requirements:

  • PC: Windows 8 or later.
  • Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

Other:

  • Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

Instructional Material Requirements:

The instructional materials required for this course are included in enrollment. The following textbooks will be shipped to you approximately 7-10 business days after enrollment:

  • A+ Guide to IT Technical Support
  • CompTIA Security+ Guide to Network Security Fundamentals
  • Network+ Guide to Networks

Although there are no prerequisites to enroll in the course, CompTIA recommends having up to 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or field before taking the A+ and Network+ certification exams. Two years of experience in IT administration with a security focus are recommended for the Security+ exam.

Can I register for a course if I am an international student?

Yes, you will be prepared for the 200-301 CCNA – Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA) Exam.

How long does it take to complete this course?

This course is self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start when you want and finish at your own pace. When you register, you'll receive six (6) months to complete the course.

The time allotted for course completion has been calculated based on the number of course hours. However, if you are unable to complete the course, contact the student advising team to see what options you may have available to work out a suitable completion date. Please note that an extension fee may be charged.

What happens when I complete the course?

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate of completion. You will also receive an exam voucher if you selected the voucher included version course for the 200-301 CCNA certifying exam once you've met your financial obligation and completed all coursework.

Am I guaranteed a job?

This course will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.

Can I get financial assistance?

This course is non-credit, so it does not qualify for federal aid, FAFSA and Pell Grant. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses. Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.
