Montana Code School

Become a software developer in 18-weeks through the Montana Code School Coding Boot Camp. Through this part-time, flexible, and affordable boot camp you can become a Front End Software Developer or a Back End Software Developer. 

Students meet for class once a week at a set time in a virtual environment. In addition to the weekly class meeting, students meet once a week for a remote, 30-minute one-on-one with a mentor.

Industry Recognized Credentials (IRC)

Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs) provide a great starting point for those entering the field of cybersecurity as well as those wishing to increase their knowledge, skills, and career opportunities.

CyberMontana’s Certificate of Technical Studies programs assist students in gaining appropriate training and education to complete the CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ exams. Cyber Rapid Training Program

The Cyber Rapid Training Program is designed for adult learners looking to enter entry-level cybersecurity or IT careers, as well as individuals in these careers seeking to upskill. Courses take place over 10-15 weeks fully online. 

The program covers basic networking, operating systems, ethical and legal issues, communication skills, and cybersecurity. Completion qualifies students for CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ credentials, aligned with U.S. Department of Defense job categories.

The Student Data Privacy Governance course felt like something that should be a mandatory material for anyone working in, near, or with K-12 environments. The course provided a wealth of knowledge and steps that need to be taken to address potential holes in the student data privacy protection process.

In a landscape of liabilities, this course benefits my district by providing me with knowledge that they weren’t able to offer themselves. Student data privacy isn’t just one person’s responsibility, but having someone that understands the expectations and the liability that these issues present can be crucial in staying ahead of any possible legal or procedural speed bumps.

Though we do everything we can, there are many boxes that can remain unchecked in the “just get it done” environment of IT. We are doing a lot of things correctly, but the course showed that we can do a better job of implementing more official procedures and remaining up-to-date with what is expected of us. The largest area that this course improved my knowledge lies in the breakdown of regulations and policies.

The completed training benefits my employer because it provided me with training and knowledge on ways to make our network more secure and assisted in adding to our Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan. It opened up the discussion for creating policies or items that need to be added to our handbook to help increase our security.

This course has proven to be a valuable resource for improving knowledge and skills in network cybersecurity. Firstly, the improved cybersecurity knowledge and skills acquired through the course empower IT staff to better understand and address cybersecurity threats more effectively. Additionally, the course enables IT staff to implement security measures within the school district's network infrastructure.
