Professional development for educators.

CyberMontana provides K-12 and higher education educators with the tools they need to effectively introduce cybersecurity topics into their classrooms. Career development supports career-connected learning, dual enrollment, workforce pathways, and stronger alignment between education and Montana’s cybersecurity workforce needs.

Cyber STEM Summer Camps

Middle school, high school, higher education, and nonprofit organization-based educators are integral to Montana’s CySTEM camp program. GenCyber Teacher Camp

GenCyber is a Student Pipeline Development program that equips high school teachers to instruct dual enrollment courses, allowing students to earn 3 college credits through the University of Montana as part of the 1-2-Free Program. This program provides no-cost instructional tools and opportunities for professional certification.

Dual Enrollment & Early College

The University of Montana Dual Enrollment program encourages high school instructors interested in offering a concurrent enrollment or dual credit course to apply for the New Faculty Affiliate program. A uniform syllabus template is provided to ensure consistency across programs and to communicate college-level expectations to students.

Certificates & Career Development

CyberMontana Career Development opportunities may support educators who want to strengthen cybersecurity, IT, and emerging technology knowledge. These opportunities can help educators build their own skills, prepare for industry-recognized credentials, and bring relevant cybersecurity concepts into the classroom.

The Policy & Training Academy

Educators can use CyberMontana resources to introduce students to cybersecurity careers, workforce pathways, foundational cyber concepts, and industry-recognized credentials. PISCES provides a work-based learning environment for students at Missoula College and The University of Montana. Educators can integrate lab-hours into their curriculum to develop workforce ready students through this technically-challenging hands-on training.
